Use case

Researcher Emma, a specialist in educational innovation aims to understand how school teams and teachers engage with innovative practices, and how these processes can be better supported. She collaborates with a local school, where the principal is enthusiastic about fostering a culture of innovation. Emma begins her research by observing classroom practices, attending team meetings, and conducting interviews with teachers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current innovation landscape within the school. She notices that while teachers are keen to integrate new strategies, they often feel constrained by limited time for professional development.
Emma administers a knowledge appropriation survey to the teachers following their professional development sessions to gather evidence on how effectively knowledge is created, assimilated, and applied during mentoring, as well as to identify key factors that influence the teachers’ learning practices

Based on the results Emma develops a set of recommendations for creating a shared platform where staff can collaborate, share innovative lesson plans, and provide support to one another, thus fostering a stronger and more sustainable culture of innovation at the school.
